THE SENSE OF GRATITUDE
“ IF YOU ONLY SAY ONE PRAYER IN A DAY, MAKE IT THANK YOU”
This wonderful quote is by Rumi and its one of the best one of all his quotes. I have never witness the sense of gratitude, like the one I felt, by just performing a small and inexpensive task.
The first time I learnt about the strength and power of gratitude was from the most read book, “THE SECRET”. Where the sense of being thankful is strongly defined by narration of this quote;
“Gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency, and you attract much better things.”
2 A4 size paper and few drops of ink has done a wonder to my soul that no luxury has ever done to me.
Every daughter deserve to have a lovable father. A father is the first man in all women’s life, who builds her daughter vision to look at this male dominant society either as a competition and equality or menacing and threatening.
Today I find myself in a bubble of credence, with outer layers of robustness and a definite stability with resistance of any life’s illicit aspect. And I can proudly say that the foundation of this bubble’s pedestrian is laid by my father.
My father who is in his late 60s, has laid his life with absolute principles of his own. Being plunge into system of tribalism, he never compromise on granting his children a life of upgradation and customization. Through his example we are still learning to live parallel lives with honoring our heritage and also competing with modern world.
Putting all my whole life in obedience of my father, will definitely not be enough in return of his efforts and love for me. But a small card, saying “thank you” has brought me some moments to flourish forever.
I spent half an hour to pour all my creativity into this small card and presented it to my father. He glanced at the bold letters of THANK YOU and smiled at me. As we couldn't find his glasses, I read it to him. And as I was reading, their were shades of numerous emotions in his beautiful eyes and he immediately responded with his usual humility that its not all about him but also of me being a good offspring.
But inside I know and my God knows that whatever goodness I possess is because of YOU papa. ❤
